Clutter: Is it Making You Overwhelmed, Stressed, Embarrassed?

May 19, 2016 by Gosia

[vc_row][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]Clutter: Is it Making You Overwhelmed, Stressed, Embarrassed?

As a professional organizer and stager, almost every day I hear from my clients how overwhelmed, stressed or embarrassed they are due to their cluttered and unorganized homes or offices.

I truly understand how you feel and believe me, you are not alone!
Today, Most homes need some kind of organizing and decluttering.

What if I tell you that You will feel amazing and stress-free after your home or office is clutter free and organized.

Imagine finding everything within seconds and knowing where everything is. Yes, its totally possible!

I have been in so many homes full of clutter, that takes over peoples lives. It takes a lot of strength to make that first step to a new beginning. I truly applause clients that make that initial move and go forward with decluttering their home.

When I meet with my potential clients, I go over details with them how to approach the project with the best solutions and results. It’s not about junk removal and clearing your home; It’s about deciding what to keep, discard, or donate. It’s about creating a clutter free home, the home that you will love and enjoy again.

During the process of decluttering, my clients learn so much more about themselves, their belongings and  how to keep  their home organized . It’s very doable but it’s up to you, client, who is willing to make these changes. So, do you want to love your home again? Do you want to invite your family and friends again? Do you want to let go some of your belongings?

As a professional organizer, I will help with the whole process. I promise you that at the end, you will feel like a new person, ready for a new beginning and love your home again. Please contact me so together we can create a solution and plan designed just for you.

Remember there is a solution to every problem!

Why hire a Stager

May 11, 2016 by Gosia

Maggie’s Organizing and Staging Can help you
“You never get a second chance to make a great first impression.”

Buyers are quick to jump to conclusions about a home after a single glance. That’s why more sellers are turning toward professional home stagers to prepare  for a sale.

With the vast majority of buyers searching first on the Internet for homes, photos and virtual tours are extremely important in the selection process. Staging, as a priority instead of as a last resort, will give sellers key advantages.

A professional Stager will: Eliminate clutter

  • First step is to organize / declutter your home.
  • Removing papers from tables and furniture
  • Any personal items that add to the unnecessary clutter such as diplomas, family pictures and anything that relates to your family.
  • Use design elements in planning out the rooms, space and lighting.
  • Create traffic patterns to highlight positive attributes of a home while downplaying its negative features.
  • Suggest to owners design adjustments such as painting neutral colors
  • Removal of all excessive furniture to open up an additional space and create more open space.

Consider buyer demographics and buying psychology:

The goal of staging is to make a home appealing to the highest number of potential buyers, thereby selling a property more swiftly and for more money. Staging techniques focus on improving a property’s appeal by transforming it into a welcoming, attractive product that anyone might want.
Staging promotes design elements in planning out the rooms, space and lighting.

It is not to overwhelm potential buyers with wild colors and furniture, even if you think it makes your home “special.”

Stager can use some existing furniture but most of the time it is necessary to remove some furniture for staging purpose; It makes a big difference!

April 7, 2016 by Gosia

[vc_row][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]Home Office Organizing: Are you ready to organize your home office space?

Home offices become much more common to have now. You don’t have to be self-employed or work from home to have a home office; it can be used simply for sorting through bills, finances, documents, watching TV, reading a newspaper or book.

For some reason, often home office becomes messy, dusty, cluttered, and disorganized space. Often we throw there everything that it’s on our way!

It becomes our storage room! Grrr! Am I right ?? You don’t have to wait for a special occasion to work on organizing your office. Anytime is a great time.

It may not be as easy at first to get motivated but simply start with removing the trash and shredding the unwanted paperwork; recycling/ discarding unwanted papers, alphabetizing and color coding your filing system.

You can actually have fun while you do it!

So set yourself a time limit, put on your favorite music on and be proud of yourself when it’s all done and organized! If you have questions or you struggle by doing it on your own, I’m here to help!

What “Organizing” Means to Us

March 9, 2016 by Gosia

Organizing to me is about taking an honest look at what you have, keeping what you need, and being able to letting go Of the Rest!

Can we really do that?

Let’s be honest, being organized it’s not easy!

But hold that thought; you can be clutter free and organized if you put your mind into it.

And yes, It takes time, motivation and certain tools to get organized.
First step is planning.

I know that maybe you are feeling overwhelmed, stressed and embarrassed.

For many people The attitude is that there is just too much to tackle. And you probably don’t have time and energy.

My solution for you is to come up with a plan and timeline for taking small, ” baby ” steps, and one at a time!

It sounds better, right?

I would like you to use a board and draw two lines to create four equal squares.
Name them A, B, C and D respectively.

In key words write 4 the most important projects that you would like to tackle.
For instance, in square A you may write ” organizing and decluttering my master closet.

In square B, for example you may write organizing my desk and paperwork.

I hope you follow that simple diagram and finish C and D squares.

The key is you must concentrate entirely on square A until you finish that project before you can move to square B .

Once you are accomplished and finished with the project A, you will cover the square and move to B.

This simple but very effective diagram will allow you to stay focus and less overwhelmed and most of all, very accomplished once your organizing project is finished.

Can’t wait to tell you more about other very powerful organizing tools.
Stay tuned!!
